What we're seeing
At Opportunity Youth Academy, chronic absenteeism has fallen 70% over the 5-year window — from 7.2% in 2017 to 2.1% in 2020. Despite that, the gap vs US average of ~28% has actually widened — from 20.8% below in 2017 to 25.9% below in 2020.
